Advice For Those Buying Rays

Recommended Posts

What with the fact that the car is being phased out you shouldn't have to pay more than about £600 for them.

Temper Orange Nismo GT, Nismo LMGT4's, StuartB Tonneau cover, Z mats (front and rear), Z tax disc, stubby antenna and Garmin Nuvi 660T, Stillen Dual Intakes and Stillen True Dual Exhaust arrived and fitted.

:bounce: £600 was a very good price for those rays and tyres. What gets my goat up is the fact that the purchaser is blatantly trying to make a quick profit on this forum. If anyone pays the extra £200 for them, then they are off their head.

Nothing wrong with making a quick profit but, advertise them elsewhere, not under the nose of the seller and everyone else who knows how much they sold for originally. :drive1

Got to say I agree with you Steve but then we have had this discussion regarding MREV's elsewhere so you know my feelings! :bounce:

Andy, don't concern yourself with it. If it goes any further I'll re-title it the sour grapes thread or delete it.

I didn't realise how childish some of our Members can be.

Where does childish come into it? To put it bluntly, this club is here to help all the members have the best experience possible with their cars. Definitely not to be used for profiteering imo :drive1

Yes Mark, i know our past discussions have highlighted this sort of thing before. Its not a good thing for any club as we, as members, are here to help and give advice where possible.

No person on here would be happy if they sold an item to another member, and then seen it back up for sale a few days later at a huge mark up on the same site.

We understand how you feel about it. The truth is that we as members let go of our stuff for the benefit of other members/users for a reasonable price and as you rightly said, we will not be happy to be in the position that we are now.

The flip side is that in a transaction of business...the buyer is free to sell on if he wanted to. The price is only dictated by what a particular punter wants to pay for it! We as a club cannot dictate the price.

With regard to your earlier comment about advertising it under the sellers nose, again as a club or collective membership, we cannot restrict the advert. I agree that it is not a nice thing ....but its not impossible for such things to happen in forums.

It is an individual choice/decision by the parties concerned.

I think we have made enough noise now in this matter to highlight the issue to everyone and the admin team has picked it up from day one.

We should now do the mature thing and let the topic die as it is not serving a purpose within the club. On the contrary it is making the membership of this club look divided on a small issue that quite frankly.... is a question of individual ethics!!!

David,

I can be as f***ing childish as I like. As a Founding Member I assumed that I was allowed to make my displeasure known.

As far as this club goes, as soon as my goods are sold I am kissing it bye bye. As you may have guessed by my not posting too much these days I had had my goat full of the place, childish or not I am fed up with this place and some of the self righteous people who run it.

Just to put the record straight, once my deal with those people who are purchasing the goods I have for sale (at a reasonable price) I will be leaving this site. Yes I am disappointed, no I won't miss it and yes I fully expect this post and probably my account to go\be banned.

Simon, I understand why you feel the way you do...you are a valued member in nissansportz. We would like you to stay. Any concerns you may have can be ironed out and talked over when we all meet in person. Posting on a forum does tend to get the wrong interpretation when it comes to sensitive subjects like the one in discussion here.

Stick around Simon. I am sure we can all make sense of everyones views in the long run.

Personally I would have thought that, as a Founding Member, you would have more consideration for the best interests of the club. If you think that this thread serves that purpose then you are very much mistaken.

Simon, you know me and I hope you know that there is no malice intended here and you will be missed should you decide to leave. We are working hard for the future of the club and this sort of dissent does nothing to assist in those endeavours.
