Refreshed 370z for 2013 (US Only)

I've heard nothing, but I know just the man to ask ;)

It's interesting that they seem to have the exclusive on it (do they?)

If I were to guess, I would say the front end will incorporate DLRs (a slightly revised front bumper), the GT Edition suspension and reversing camera will be standard, and there will be a power increase.

But I'm just guessing at this point...

  • 2 weeks later...

About time they got the LEDs on the front.

Even some NMGB people were not aware of this...

Yes, we did ask Nissan didn't we Paul?!

Here is the video:

IMHO, it's pretty much the minimum they could do. It would have been very difficult to incorporate the LEDs and keep the fangs, but I think it's a real shame to lose them. I think the new bumper makes the car look quite bland from the front. I guess a few will think it's an improvement as the fangs were a bit too much for some.

I'm not a fan of the new wheels, but then I wasn't of the current ones - but they grew on me.

The red calipers are quite nice and will work better with some colours than others.

The US getting the UK spec suspension is history repeating itself (the same was done with the 350Z). I assume all 2013 cars will have the new GT Edition suspension.

Overall, I'm pleased that I'm slightly let down - it doesn't make my car feel old at all.

Evolution not revolution. Another negative vote for the wheels looks they were done in Photoshop.

I would be very surprised if the update is for the US only.

Looks like this is for US only

They got that out quick! I asked Nissan about this and they were going into a video conference this afternoon to chat about it!

Yes, I think we'll get it eventually.

Dont like the front , or the more rounded off wheels :(

I like the fangs :D

*All new car models sold in the EU have to have running lights as you cant trust people to turn there lights on :(

Attached My Go at a face lift (not allot but keeping the fangs :D, and two tone the wheels )

Very cleverly done mate

It's better but I still think they just don't suit the front of the 370Z though. Looking at the 2013 model again the bumper looks quite '350Z' in isolation.

Hmm, so what's with the suspension? was it the same with the 350 as well?

The early 350Z's had a different suspension setup. When Nissan wanted to sell the car in the UK there was a team of people tasked to make it more suitable for British roads (Colin from CAT was among them! :D) They sharpened up the suspension and improved the exhaust note. Soon after the UK cars were being sold, those changes were taken back to the JDM cars. So early JDM imports in the UK have the dodgy suspension.

I think they sent it to the US too but I'm not 100% on that - I imagine it must be the case.

My '04 plate 350Z had the tyre feathering problem, I can't remember when it was fixed...

Any news from Nissan UK on this?

I think the US only statement we have adopted from Pistonheads may be misleading.

David hasn't come back to me so I'll send him a reminder. I think you are right Paul, it's only a matter of time before we get the same car. There is no way Nissan is going to have one factory producing two different models. I expect the non-US markets will be use up all the old parts first though...
