Difficulty: Very Easy

Time to Undertake Mod: 5-10 minutes.

Tools Required: Trim Removal Tool (available from Amazon or small flat bladed screwdriver - but higher risk of scratching other trim)

Parts Required - GT-R Dome Light Covers (Nissan Parts: 26431-JF00A & 26432-JF00A) - LED Bubs if you want to replace those.

You need right and left sides (so two parts).

This is how the OEM ones look with the OEM bulbs installed:

Now switch the light setting to off. That will give time for the Bulbs to cool down if they need too.

First put the trim removal tool into the edge of the first lens cover. just take your time to release the 4 clips (one near each corner). Take care not to snap it, but you can be reasonable with your pressure - after all there are two sides clamping onto each peg.

One you have released the clips from the 4 pegs you can remove the old cover. It will look like this:

If like me you want to change to a LED at the same time, pull the old bulb out and install the LED - it will look like this:

Next Fit the new GT-R Dome Lens Cover it will clip back in. Then you can test the old and the new together.

Now I would get in the passengers side and do the other one exactly the same way. I did it from the Drivers side and to be honest it was a lot more effort than the first one I did as I was twisted.

Stand back and admire your efforts. And with one of the spare LED bulbs you may as well change the boot light as well!

Looking sharp Les:)

Thank you

You can see from the comparison shot that the LED`s are a fair bit brighter, is it a lot brighter in the car?

Its definitely brighter going from a yellow glow to a bright white. Its not a massive change in daylight - I will take a photo in the dark and see what difference it makes. The Lens covers do now match the one in the boot - strange they don't match as standard. I do like the Lens covers - I think they look very smart. :teeth:

Nice guide Les

The LED bulb looks like it gives quite a directional light, does the GT-R lens do a good job of diffusing it? :)

Thanks Paul - it seems too. The Cabin is fairly lit up into the foot well and behind the seats. The main difference is when off I think they look much nicer. they also feel nicer to use (I know its only a bit of plastic). But the one in the boot is this design - so not sure they didn't match in the first place.
