Yesterday the zed was in the garage for a 'big' service. Discs, pads and spark plugs also replaced Fresh MOT, good to go for another 12 months

Spent an hour changing the battery on the zed. It was a bit of a faff getting the windscreen trim off... Had a general tidy up of the spaces under the plastic bits, and took the battery tray off for a

Took the Z out on Friday for a run. 20 miles of rural roads and car handled as though it was new. Bliss.

Yes, I am a miserable bugger. But that's your problem, not mine.

I haven't actually done anything to the zed, but I did flash the credit card for services rendered. A small service, auxiliary belts and an MOT. Passed, no advisories, obvs 👍😁

Was sunny yesterday but ZERO degrees.
To prevent creating an ice rink on the drive I used Optimum No Rinse for the first time.
One bucket of ONR left on the drive after the wash.
One Rinse bucket down the drain.
One shiny Zed.
Most of the water evaporated in the sun leaving hardly any ice on the ground.

Car has passed MOT number 15.

However, it has reached a new low.....

....as in the lowest mileage any car I've owned has covered in a year; less than 400miles.

I've walked several times further than that in the last year. 🚶‍♂️

Finally managed to fit the new stereo! I'm a bit of a technophobe and there are a lot of wires, but finally (after much support from the supplier) managed to squeeze it all back in ........ So I've taxed her and taken her for the first drive in months!

I broke the OEM stereo trying to fix the intermittent speaker problem which is apparently one of the many common problems, which is a shame as I liked the look of the standard Bose, but the new non-mech Alpine allows me to plug in my entire album collection and is def. an upgrade.

Also has Bluetooth so can take calls while driving - I couldn't find anything on where to locate the mic, so went for the top of the A pillar - I had low expectations of this working as it's a roadster, but have tried it at 40mph with the windows down and quality is awesome!

When I said "Paul was great" I meant to say "Thanks Paul - It was great" - (the driving on the sunny day that is!)

(Paul - not that you are not great!)

(I seem to be digging deeper)

...but he is great.

I seem to be on a spending frenzy!!

15% off when you buy 4 Bridgestone tyres at Halfords so I've just put a new set of Potenza on for £440 fitted which I thought was reasonable. - The rears were very low and needed doing and the fronts were a budget tyre that were on it when I got it so great to have an excuse to change -  and I can go even faster round corners now!

Now that kind of price is VERY tempting! All four Falkens on my LMGT4's need renewing. Problem is, will they just hang on the garage wall, or will I actually fit the wheels & enjoy them once more?

Hmmmm...

You've got to get the LMGT4's back on the road.

Gorgeous wheels
