A Pair Of Flabby Wings 1,954
The Yaris went for a big service and an MOT today. And . . . it passed the MOT with no advisories this time, which goes on to prove that the couple of weeks I spent at the beginning of lockdown giving the arches and underside a very good clean, and in particular giving the brake pipes a thorough wire-brushing and a good coating of WD40, was time very well spent. Although whatever happened to the advisory note for the chip in the windscreen, seeing as the same windscreen is still there, is anyone's guess. I'm not complaining though, as it's a(nother) happy day on the other car front. The dealership also had a new Supra in. It was dark blue too, and looked nearly as broodingly handsome as something else dark blue, long-ish nosed and rear-wheel drive, but which isn't an "other" car. Nearly.
Paul_S 9,019
(yesterday actually, but...) I started the 240Z and drove it out of the garage so I could gain access to the loft to start clearing it out. It was a lovely day and it took all my self control not to take it for a drive. Unfortunately I was on a deadline because I had a timeslot for a visit to the local Household Waste Recycling Centre I made the most of getting up to temperature though! 3 Quote 'A standard limited edition Yellow 370Z* with a plethora of minor bespoke mods' *one of 40 don't you know! Love those white wall tyres! I learned to drive in my mum's Triumph Herald, in 1970 (1200cc engine - felt as though it went like the clappers in those days). It was a an indescribable kind of dark red colour. Boy, I loved that car. After I'd passed my test she allowed us to share it (who the hell would share their car with a teenage hippie???). That car was bullet-proof and it needed to be. I still have very fond memories of it. Took my first long-term girlfriend to a New Year's Eve party in Cuffley in it. Thanks for posting! Many moons ago I had a 1971 green and white (stripe) Vitesse, my first 6 cylinder car. From memory it would have been 1981 or '82. Ended up with me blowing up the diff when I changed (at too high a revs no doubt) down to get through some lights approaching West Wickham High Street. 1 Quote 2017 370Z Nismo / 2020 SEAT Ateca FR Black Edition / 2001 BMW E39 540i 4.4 V8 Sport / 2015 French C1 Thingy.... If so, can you send me a link please? Thanks I bought it on eBay (from a US seller). I had a search set up and checked it daily and it took about 18 months before this one turned up. I was looking for anything from early 70's California with a reference to 'Z' or '240'. This one was genuinely the first one that ticked any boxes and was perfect! (my 240Z was originally from California and it's D.O.B. is 1971!!!) 3 Quote 'A standard limited edition Yellow 370Z* with a plethora of minor bespoke mods' *one of 40 don't you know!
