350Z Replace Rear Subframe Bushes - GLOUCESTERSHIRE ish

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm looking for a local 350 knowledgeable independent to carry out the replacement of bushes on my 55 plate 350. Would prefer not but don't mind a little (Swindon, Bristol, Tewkesbury sort of area) travel for the right garage. Anyone have any local recommendations?

Have 2 wildly varying ESTIMATES of £300 and £800 at the moment though definitely have more confidence in the latter.

0Some have been reluctant to quote and Wessex (local stealership) start with a new sub-frame (£1200) .... suffice to say that conversation didn't go far. Looking at youtube that doesn't seem necessary and is surely not a Nissan UK recommendation?

Many thanks all in anticipation

Have a chat with Jez at Horsham Developments. He's a little further out than Swindon, but well worth the travel. Service is second to none.

Have you tried Litchfields. I know they are GTR specialists but they do other cars as well

I used to take my 350 & 370 to Horsham (I live in Gloucester) - was definitely worth the extra little bit of travel imho (any excuse for a drive out :D )

No experience of Litchfield for the 350 & 370 but their reputation on the GTR goes without saying.and they're closer!

2011 Gunmetal Nissan GTR Premium Edition - Litchfield Stage 1, Miltek Y-Pipe, Alcon Discs, Ferodo DS2050 Pads, Flat bottomed steering wheel
2016 Sepang Blue Audi RS3 - APR Stage 1 tune with High Flow air filter and Secondary Decat Pipes - I'LL MISS THE POPS AND BANGS (BUT THE NEIGHBOURS WON'T)
2012 Pearl White 370Z GT Edition - Invidia Gemini catback exhaust with burnt titanium rolled tips, Stillen Gen 3 Intake Kit, UpRev, 15mm Eibach spacers, Satin Black painted bumpers - GONE TO A NEW OWNER WITHIN THE CLUB BUT WILL BE VERY FONDLY REMEMBERED.
2005 Gun Metal 350Z GT, Alezan Leather & plenty of mods - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

If I was where you are geographically I'd definitely be having at least an initial word with either or both of Horsham and Litchfield.

Out of interest, are you staying with the OEM rubber bushings or are you going harder core polybushes? I imagine both of the above will quote you for both. And probably without asking. :)

Many thanks both, yes looks like the two contenders are horsham and Litchfield both coming in around the £700 mark. Have asked for the updrated white line bushes in both cases.

Meanwhile have had a backstreet garage estimate £200 labour (ex parts) mates rates. Son, (who's car it is and works at Halfords) looks after them when they come in the shop.

If they both come good with their verbal estimates I think we'll be sticking with either of the first two who have the Nissan / 350 experience though !

Well you've had some great advice already and I've nothing to add. Let us know how you get on :)

Yes it's been well worth posting. I'll certainly update as work hopefully progresses. I'm still waiting for Litchfield to put pen to paper (well email) for us at the moment. We need this because it's a warranty claim and the garage who sold the car will need to see a couple of prices. It might take while for the garage to agree costs.
