Chilli Red 4,517
Obviously not right now, but within the next month or two, when the country tries to resume some kind of normal, if indeed we ever do, we need to buy an estate car to transport the dog around. Budget between £10k and £15k preferably the lower amount as it is essentially a dog car. But equally we may use it for longer, weekend runs. What would you buy? We were looking at a C Class estate. A Pair Of Flabby Wings 1,952
Blimey, this thread's very European. The only suggestions missing are the most obvious ones: something with four rings on the front, and either a 4 or a 6 on the rear; or, something from Bavaria, with a number beginning either with a 3 or (probably preferably, as I could almost live with a 5-series) a 5 on the rear. I still refuse to name them fully. The questions I'd have are whether Merc build quality is still very questionable, and do Merc dealers still treat you like dirt if you haven't got the latest and biggest thing. Another question I have is why, when this is a forum for (supposedly) cool Japanese cars, no-one has yet made a cool Japanese suggestion? In answer, I'd like to present to you the correct and winning answer: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202003218662246?onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&price-to=10000&sort=relevance&make=SUBARU&radius=40&postcode=hu152uq&model=FORESTER&page=1 That should do nicely, and probably attract more attention at meets than just about anything else. In fact there are only two problems with it: one is that it is likely to attract a lot of male Subaru fans, which could get a bit tedious; and, secondly, I'm really quite keen on the idea of it. And I really don't want or need an estate car. Or didn't . . .

Loadmaster 17
Very late to the party here, but.... A modern classic - BMW E39 5 Series Tourer in Sport guise - a 540i 4.4 V8 (I just sold my saloon version) or a 3.0 530i with the best BMW engine, the straight six. As a dog owner myself, I think I would struggle to get the dog, paraphernalia and shopping or the like into a Coupe. The Macan's boot isn't much bigger than a normal though hatch in fairness - an Octavia estate for example has 640 litres of space so the gap is a little wider 1 Quote 2011 Gunmetal Nissan GTR Premium Edition - Litchfield Stage 1, Miltek Y-Pipe, Alcon Discs, Ferodo DS2050 Pads, Flat bottomed steering wheel 2016 Sepang Blue Audi RS3 - APR Stage 1 tune with High Flow air filter and Secondary Decat Pipes - I'LL MISS THE POPS AND BANGS (BUT THE NEIGHBOURS WON'T) 2012 Pearl White 370Z GT Edition - Invidia Gemini catback exhaust with burnt titanium rolled tips, Stillen Gen 3 Intake Kit, UpRev, 15mm Eibach spacers, Satin Black painted bumpers - GONE TO A NEW OWNER WITHIN THE CLUB BUT WILL BE VERY FONDLY REMEMBERED. 2005 Gun Metal 350Z GT, Alezan Leather & plenty of mods - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
