Use of Axle Stands - Safe Points?

Recommended Posts

I need to remove one of my wheels (offside front) for a few hours and don't want to leave the car on a jack - it's a decent hydraulic one but I'd rather not.

Can someone please accurately describe, or better still, post a photo of where i can locate the stand?

Cheers

I always go for the inward rear wishbone where it pivots on the chassis. Nice thick steel and the radius means it sits in the stand rather than resting on the outside edges.
