Problem with Internal heating

Recommended Posts

Good Morning , All, looking for a bit of advice, as you know i have a roadster, i have this issue with the ac/ heating

if i put the controls to 16 its freezing which it should be i would say, but just moving it to 16.5 it then goes boiling hot and there's no difference between 16.5 and 28

is there a sensor inside the car that regulates the temp or is is something more sinister

would appreciate your knowledge on this

As far as the engine, there are no heating problems at all

thanks Regards Paul

There are several sensors in the dash that monitor the air temp so it might be that.  Below the radio is a white box that controls the whole HVAC system so there might be a problem there.  It's quite easy to get access and is a simple swap out.

I have a spare one kicking around in a box somewhere.  Let me know if you want me to send it to you to test out.

I think there's also a self-test option from the 'hidden menu' on the head unit.  That might be the best place to start.

I just found on on eBay --> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303976427449?hash=item46c6682fb9:g:AhIAAOSwlf1dLuZt

They are a lot cheaper than they used to be.  This is what I was expecting one to cost --> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255199757226?hash=item3b6b1743aa:g:afQAAOSwbbVhelhp

Well that seems to be in order.  It would have been much easier if it'd had shown a fault!

Without access to Consult III (the diagnostic kit the dealers use) it might be tricky to find out what's wrong.  I'll send you a PM.
