Replacing the Battery - What Might Need Resetting?

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,

Just wondering how much of a faff it is to reset (if needed) various things after a battery change. I've read that the windows don't fully close, but is there anything else?

Thanks...

C”mon folks, give Keith a hand here - I know several of you have done this! Even if it’s just a link to a previous thread.

For me it was just the window reset but from old battery out to new one in was only a minute or two (so maybe more needs resetting if it stays out for longer?).

I used this write up from Chubbs to change the battery...

Then here's the window reset (Chubbs once again!)...

Cheers Dave, much appreciated!

I'd watched couple of youtube videos on the subject - all seemed to have issues after installation of the new battery with lost radio settings (not really an issue) but other more worrying stuff like warning lights being present and trying to clear them.

Also I've noticed a difference of opinion whether to disconnect/reconnect positive or neutral posts first. I tend to agree with you with your instructions.
